Our Approach
As a nonprofit, GreenWave’s goal is to provide training, tools, and support to ocean farmers and catalyze the planting of regenerative ocean crops that yield meaningful economic and climate impacts.
In response to skyrocketing demand from more than 8,000 people on our waiting list and requests to start farms in over 100 countries, we launched the Regenerative Ocean Farming Hub in 2022.
GreenWave’s regenerative ocean farming system grows a mix of seaweeds and shellfish that require zero inputs while removing carbon and rebuilding reef ecosystems.

What does scale look like?
Regenerative Reefs
To scale, GreenWave cultivates a "Regenerative Reef" model in new regions. Small- and medium-scale ocean farms grow in tandem with land-based hatcheries and processing infrastructure, along with institutional buyers and entrepreneurs developing and marketing value-added products.
